"Grumpy Ol' Men's Club"

While having a friendly game of cards in 1992 The Grumpy Ol' Men's Club (GOMC) was started. There are only thirteen members, however any person who believes in helping the community are members. Six of us are from the High School class of 1969. We went our own ways from school and we came back together to enjoy each others company.

We decided to help our local play ground with extra equipment that wasn't in the budget. They needed a drinking fountain, picnic tables and sports bleachers. We started fund raising with Chicken BBQ's, then went into our now annual Clambake Pig Roast. The opportunity to take over the Carp Derby came 9 years ago. Some of us had helped the derby for many years so it was ideal for us to take it over.

We will donate to needy causes, especially for kids groups. These include all Sports Boosters groups, a High School Award for a person going into the field of Conservation, the local Red Cross chapter, Boy and Girl Scouts and North Seneca Ambulance to name a few.

We are a non-profit organization and will continue for many years helping the little local people.
